Ventus 28kW Performance Battery – 72V 51Ah
Built for Serious Performance
The Ventus 72V 51Ah Performance Battery is engineered for riders who demand more power, stronger acceleration and consistent performance from their electric dirt bike.
With up to 32kW peak power capability, 250A continuous discharge and a 450A 10-second peak discharge rating, it is designed to support high-output controller and motor upgrades.
With 3,672Wh of nominal energy capacity, MANUX 21700-BK51 cells and an ANT-550A BMS, this battery is positioned well above a standard replacement battery. It is intended for performance-focused Light Bee-style platforms, including compatible Surron, Talaria, Ventus and 79Bike models.
It is an ideal option for riders upgrading to a performance controller and motor, or for those wanting to remove the factory battery as the limiting component in their build.

Why upgrade the battery?
Installing a performance controller or motor does not automatically mean the bike can deliver its maximum advertised power. The controller can only use the voltage and current the battery is capable of safely supplying.
A factory battery may become the limiting part of a modified powertrain. Under heavy load, this can result in reduced available power, voltage sag, inconsistent performance or the battery management system restricting output.
Your powertrain is only as strong as its power source
The Ventus 72V 51Ah Performance Battery is designed to provide the higher discharge capability required to make better use of upgraded controllers and performance motors, with 250A continuous discharge and a 450A 10-second peak.

Charging and battery care
The battery has an 84V full-charge voltage and is supplied with a 10A charger. The battery itself is specified for up to 50A continuous charging; however, charging equipment must be correctly matched to the battery voltage, charging profile and XT90 charge connection.
For storage, the battery label recommends maintaining approximately 30%–70% charge. Avoid storing the battery fully discharged, and always follow the supplied battery and charger instructions.
Frequently asked questions
What is the main advantage of this battery?
Its main advantage is higher current delivery for performance builds. The battery is rated at 250A continuous discharge with a 450A peak for up to 10 seconds, allowing a compatible controller and motor to draw substantially more power than many factory battery systems can support.
Will this battery increase the bike's power?
The battery does not determine power on its own. Available power also depends on the controller, motor, tune and the mechanical condition of the bike. However, a higher-output battery can allow a compatible controller and motor to operate at settings that a factory battery may not support.
What does the 32kW rating mean?
32kW is the battery's stated peak power capability. It should not be interpreted as a continuous power rating. Continuous output is limited by factors including battery voltage, the 250A continuous discharge rating, BMS limits, controller settings, temperature and state of charge.
Does 51Ah tell me how powerful the battery is?
Not by itself. Amp-hours primarily describe battery capacity. Power capability also depends on voltage, cell performance, discharge current, BMS limits, connectors and wiring. For this battery, the more relevant performance figures are 250A continuous discharge and 450A peak discharge for up to 10 seconds.
Will it provide more range?
Its 72V 51Ah specification provides approximately 3.67kWh of nominal energy. Actual range will vary considerably depending on power settings, speed, terrain, rider weight, tyre pressure, temperature and riding style. A high-power tune can use the available energy much faster than a lower-power setup.
Can I install it into a standard bike?
The battery is listed for several bike platforms, but installation requirements can vary by model and model year. Connectors, wiring, mounting components, controller settings and physical fitment should all be confirmed before installation. Professional installation is recommended for high-output powertrain builds.
Can I use my existing charger?
Only use a charger that is approved as suitable for this battery. The battery requires an 84V full-charge voltage and uses an XT90 charge connection. A 10A charger is supplied with the battery.
How fast can the battery be charged?
The supplied charger is rated at 10A. The battery itself is specified for up to 50A continuous charging, but a higher-current charger should only be used if it is specifically approved for this battery and installation. Actual charging time will depend on charger output, starting state of charge, temperature and charging taper near full capacity.
Is the battery waterproof?
The battery is rated IP67 for protection against dust and water ingress. This does not mean the battery should be deliberately submerged or exposed to pressure washing, and all connectors and installation components still need to be correctly fitted and protected.
