Shock Moto started the same way many great bike stories do, as a family of dirt bike riders and petrolheads based in Porirua, Wellington who simply love getting out and riding.

For years we rode traditional petrol dirt bikes, but in 2024 we jumped on a Surron electric dirt bike for the first time and quickly realised things had changed. Electric dirt bikes deliver instant torque, minimal maintenance, and far less noise, opening up more places to ride around Wellington and across New Zealand, from trails and farms to private land and urban adventures.

We enjoyed the experience so much that we decided to share it with other riders. That’s how Shock Moto was born — a Wellington-based electric dirt bike store dedicated to the growing e-moto scene in New Zealand.

Today, Shock Moto is an official New Zealand dealer for Surron, Talaria and Ventus electric dirt bikes, and an authorised stockist of EBMX, Torp and Warp 9 performance upgrades. We supply genuine bikes, parts, and accessories, backed by real in-house servicing, repairs, and performance upgrades from our Wellington workshop.
