EVO-2 Powertrain

At the heart of the Light Bee 2 X is Surron’s new EVO-2 powertrain.

The high-performance PMSM motor is paired with an advanced MTPA/MTPV FOC controller, delivering precise and responsive power across a wide range of riding conditions.

The new powertrain has been designed to deliver significantly more performance than the Light Bee X while maintaining smooth throttle response and rider control.

Whether you’re navigating tighter technical terrain or accessing the full 24kW output, the Light Bee 2 X can be configured to suit the rider and the conditions.

78.54V 45Ah Battery

The Light Bee 2 X is powered by a new 78.54V 45Ah lithium battery, providing approximately 3.53kWh of energy capacity.

Surron claims a maximum range of:

• Up to 108km at a constant 40km/h
• Up to 160km at a constant 25km/h

Charging from 20–80% takes approximately 2 hours, with a full 0–100% charge taking approximately 4 hours.

As with all electric dirt bikes, actual range will vary depending on rider weight, terrain, elevation, temperature, speed and riding style.

Seven Riding Modes

The Light Bee 2 X introduces a significantly more advanced riding system with seven selectable modes:

Eco • Daily • Sport • Custom • Turbo • Reverse • Crawl

From controlled low-speed riding through to full-performance riding, the Light Bee 2 X can be configured to suit different riders, terrain and conditions.

Throttle response can also be adjusted across three levels, giving riders further control over how aggressively the bike delivers its power.

Surron Traction Control

With 24kW available in such a lightweight platform, putting the power to the ground matters.

The Light Bee 2 X features Surron SRTC off-road traction control, helping manage rear-wheel traction across changing surfaces and riding conditions.

Combined with the bike’s adjustable riding modes and throttle response, the system provides another level of control when riding loose, slippery or technical terrain.

Surron Wheelie Control

The Light Bee 2 X also features two-level Surron Wheelie Control (SWC).

The system provides electronic assistance with front-wheel lift, helping riders manage the bike’s substantial torque under hard acceleration.

Two assistance levels allow the amount of electronic intervention to be adjusted to suit the rider and riding style.

Advanced Regenerative Braking

The Light Bee 2 X offers considerably more control over regenerative braking than previous Light Bee models.

• 5 levels of coasting regeneration

• RBS regenerative braking trigger

This allows riders to tailor motor braking and energy recovery to suit different riding conditions and personal preference.

Lightweight Forged Aluminium Chassis

Despite the significant increase in performance, Surron has kept the Light Bee 2 X to just 65kg curb weight.

A forged aluminium alloy frame and swingarm maintain the lightweight and compact design that made the original Light Bee platform so popular.

With an 830mm seat height, 280mm ground clearance and 1280mm wheelbase, the Light Bee 2 X remains smaller and more agile than a traditional full-size dirt bike.

Upgraded Suspension

The increased performance is matched with a more capable suspension package.

The Light Bee 2 X doesn’t replace the Light Bee X – it creates an entirely new performance level within the Surron range.

For riders who love the compact dimensions and agility of the Light Bee but want considerably more factory performance, the Light Bee 2 X fills the gap between the Light Bee X and the larger Ultra Bee.
