A 16-inch rear rim opens up a range of motocross tyre options. With a suitable higher-volume tyre, this setup can improve traction, bump absorption and rear-end feel on rough terrain. Paired with a 19-inch front wheel, it creates the popular 19/16 wheel setup.

Tyres & fitting components

Tyre, inner tube, rim lock, brake rotor, rear sprocket and rotor or sprocket mounting bolts are sold separately. Use the correct wheel spacers and compatible rotor, sprocket and hardware for your bike; contact us if you need help identifying these.

Tyre width and profile vary between manufacturers. Confirm swingarm, chain and mudguard clearance for your chosen tyre before riding.

Installation & maintenance

Professional installation is recommended. Check wheel alignment, spacer placement, chain tension, brake rotor alignment, tyre clearance and spoke tension before riding. Recheck spoke tension after the first ride and as part of regular maintenance.

Changing wheel and tyre dimensions can affect ride height, handling, gearing and speedometer accuracy. Intended primarily for off-road use.
